Welcome to Nesting House
At Nesting House Daycare, we provide quality childcare services in Fort Washington, Maryland, for children aged 18 months to 5 years old. We create a nurturing environment where children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills. Since opening in 2019, our bilingual team brings over 25 years of childcare experience, offering a personalized alternative to larger centers. We maintain an intimate setting with a maximum of 8 children.
The Nesting House Method
Child-Led Learning: We believe in following each child's needs and interests, fostering natural curiosity without imposing activities.

Curriculum: Our monthly lesson plans are inspired by Montessori principles and the Core Knowledge Curriculum, catering to children from 18 months onward. We encourage older children to lead activities for younger children. We complete two assessments to track development.

Learning Environment: Our facility located in a quiet residential neighborhood features various play areas, including centers for science, math, arts and crafts, kitchen play, dress-up, and circle time. We have dedicated spaces such as a nap room, fenced outdoor play area, and personal storage for each child.
Community and Family Engagement
Family Gatherings: We host annual family events to strengthen our community bonds.

Pet-Friendly Environment: Barney, our friendly dog is on the premises; inform us of any allergies.
